My favorite part of the Oscars is not just picking out what movies I want to see next, but the fashion. The world of fashion has always captivated me, so during award season, I scope out my favorites and see what the experts say. By clicking the photo above, it will go to ABCNews' take on fashion that took over the red carpet this year.
To be quite honest with you, I was bored out of my mind watching this. The host lacked energy, charisma, and knowledge about fashion. I guess that is why a former "Housewife" reality star was there to help, but I just kept checking how much time was left on the video. I thought ABC would have the best experts on even the news site to talk about the fashion since it is the ABC network that hosts the Oscars.
After being quite disappointed in ABCNews.com, I took my hunger for the fashion to HuffingtonPost.com. You know, for a site that started as a blog, this is one of the fastest growing (in popularity) sites. It is the first site I check when I start my hunt for the latest news, and usually the last one I am on. In the style section of the HuffingtonPost, I found exactly what I was looking for, my favorite celebrities in their ridiculously awesome getups.
Two of the popular topics of the fashion is Angelina Jolie's leg and her awkward pose and Jennifer Lopez's possible nip slip. Jolie's Ateleir Versace black dress was not that fantastic, but that did not matter because it was her leg that stole the show, and has become an internet phenomena. Her right leg even has a twitter account.

Another dress causing some drama is Shailene Woodley's white Valentino gown. It was said that the dress was "too stuffy" and made her look twice her age in the HuffingtonPost article.
Yes, Woodley had the opportunity to be risky and daring with her dress choice with her great figure and obvious beauty, but she decided to stay on a conservative route. I think she looked absolutely beautiful and vintage. If she would have worn a low cut, bright color dress, I could see the story to change why she was sending a bad message to others her age.
Her dress was not a fashion no-no, it fit her well, she looked great in it, and it just so happened that her entire body. Why all the ridicule?
Moving on to another great part of the night, the after parties. I am only going to focus on one, Vanity Fair. At this after party, the guests change from their red carpet gowns into an ensemble just as fabulous. The second outfits for most of those at the party looked just as red carpet worthy, but an outfit the celebrities could actually breathe in. These choices seemed to be more personal and not what a stylist selected for them to wear.
I leave you with 2 of the hottest couples in the spotlight.
