As a Green Bay Packers fan, I had little interest in the teams playing in the Super Bowl. Apparently, ABCNews.com also did not have much interest in which teams were playing. Leading up to the big game on Sunday, ABCNews.com featured an article on the wives of the two quarterbacks, Eli Manning’s wife, Abby, and Tom Brady’s wife, Gisele. The article focused on how similar yet different the women were from their weddings, to their love of fashion.
The other article featured on ABCNews.com was about the “Ultimate Wings Recipes.” It included 11 recipes that one could cook up for a tasty Super Bowl experience.

The video coverage shown for ABC’s Good Morning America focused on the host city, Indianapolis and the fans. They even interviewed some Colts’ fans seeing whom they would cheer for, and they said they were rooting for Payton’s little brother Eli, meaning the Giants.
After the game, the coverage focused mainly on Madonna’s halftime show. The first article was a good overview of the show mentioning the little wardrobe malfunction with Madonna’s hair, and M.I.A.’s incident flipping off after her rap. The next article focused on M.I.A. and trying to give excuses for flipping off saying it was the mix of adrenaline and nervousness.

The only other article I could find about the Giants’ win at the Super Bowl was about the fans reaction in New York City. The people quoted were all young and super excited about the win.
I was a little surprised to not see any analysis of the teams or predictions of who was to win. Personally, it did not matter because I was not interested in these teams to begin with, but if it was the Green Bay Packers playing (like it should have been,) I would want to see more about the players and what they were doing to prepare.
