For my practicum in journalism class, we need to write four stories and submit them to a form of student media. I struggled in finding topics I wanted to write about that could possibly get published in the student newspaper. I decided I wanted to keep it personal about topics I've learned and just about my life.
I wanted the first story to focus on the best advice my parents gave me. Parents are full of advice and most the time, the child/teen will roll their eyes and it will go in one ear and out the other. Before setting out my journey to college in the summer of 2009, my family was full of advice. I decided to actually listen to what they had to say because I would most likely need to hear what they were telling me.
The story is about the most useful piece of advice my mom gave me in regards to using the professors as resources as well as just lecturers.

I will post my other stories as well, keep on the lookout!
