For my Digital Journalism II class, each student was assigned an online news beat. ABCNews.com is what I will be following during this semester.
ABCNews.com is extremely easy to navigate. The site has tabs to direct the reader to different "MUST READS" that had been popular during the week. Before the reader has to scroll farther down, the Latest Headlines and the Featured Video sections are available to be looked at.
The set up for the site is quite spaced out and has photographs that go along with the articles. I found that the website almost directs the reader to certain stories. The large photo on the top of the page attracts readers to pursue reading.
The Latest Headlines column and the center column have larger font headlines that attract readers. After reading JSOnline, ABCNews.com seems to be lacking something. The lesser amount and space between the articles is considerably less than JSOnline.
